How to prepare for this weekend’s HEATWAVE and SMOKE FROM CANADA?
The best thing you can do is BUILD A F’ING TIME MACHINE and LISTEN to the scientists that predicted all of this back in the late 1970s: They predicted the mass forest fires, the increase in hurricane and tornado activity, the end of the Atlantic Ocean AMOC (“conveyor belt” that regulates heat), the droughts killing our farm lands, and the extreme rain that floods other areas, and ocean sea level rising destroying Miami and other costal cities. Convince our government to set an energy policy to eliminate FOSSEL FUEL usage (which would also defund the terrorists that planned 9/11). Prevent the oil industry from starting a misinformation campaign to convince people that this is all BS. Convince the media to call it the “climate crisis” instead of “global warming” (which sounds like a good thing… warm is a happy word: we love a warm hug, a warm puppy, and warm weather sounds like a good thing, right?).
The second best thing you can do? Buy sun block, protect your lungs by wearing a mask, and call your insurance agent and find out that your screwed because they’re secretly removing any kind of responsibility to pay out for floods, hurricanes, and so on.
Do those things and you’ll be fine.
P.S. Every disaster film starts with people ignoring scientists who try to warn us. Jaws, Godzilla, The Day After Tomorrow, Jurassic Park, San Andreas, Pandemic, The Simpsons Movie, 28 Days later, Contagion. Why aren’t we elected politiicans that believe science?
